Weekend

Don%26#39;t miss the bombing memorial. A beautiful and moving tribute. Also the Oklahoma Historical museum is a great place to learn about our history. It%26#39;s in a beautiful new building just east of the state capitol. I%26#39;m not sure where the ';Memorial Park'; is. But, if you can get a good deal on a car for a day, it might be worth it. Bricktown is very cool as well. Shops, canal, restaurants and sites. Very far to walk between things. If you have the time, the National Cowboy Heritage Museum is also beautiful. Hopet his helps.

Weekend

Good suggestions Cindysu. Let me add a few more. The OKC Museum of Art, just west of downtown and very near the bombing memorial, is nearly new and has a fine small collection; the Chihuly glass alone is worth the visit. They often have fine travelling exhbits; I believe that Mexican paintings will still be on display in late February. Also, late February is Oscar month at their theater; a good chance to see an Oscar-nominated movie. www.okcmoa.org While you%26#39;re in that area of town, notice all the fine art deco buildings.

If you rent a car (probably a good idea), you might want to drive to Norman, which is on the south edge of the metro area, about 15 miles south of downtown OKC. The Museum of Natural History is stunningly good, especially if you%26#39;re travelling with children. http://www.snomnh.ou.edu/

Also in Norman, the OU campus houses a nice art museum with an outstanding collection of impressionistic paintings. http://www.ou.edu/fjjma/
