Yikes, i was assuming since Arkansas River ran thru the area that there would be some incredible riverwalks in some of the cities... Or charming boardwalks of some kind. But, didn%26#39;t see any posts to the fact.
No riverfronts?
Oklahoma City has a river area called Bricktown. It%26#39;s newly developed and surrounded by shops, restaurants, clubs, the Ballpark, movie complex and grand sculptures. It was originally modeled after the Riverwalk in San Antonio. Like SA it also has boat rides on the canal. It%26#39;s still growing, but is beautiful and a lovely addition to our downtown area.
No riverfronts?
There is a riverfront area being developed along the Arkansas River in Jenks, Ok. It%26#39;s close to the aquarium.
