my wife and i are flying over from the uk to drive route 66 and are staying overnight in tulsa friday july 7th. i fancy going to cains ballroom is it open even when bands arenot playing, is it worth going to and lastly is there a decent hotel/motel nearby.

Not sure if Cain%26#39;s is open when a band isn%26#39;t playing, but can almost guarantee that a band will be playing there on a Friday night in the summer. At least 4 hotels within 3 miles with the Ambassador getting the best reviews of those. The Ambassador is also unique to Tulsa if that is what you are looking for on your trip. FYI, be prepared for the temp to at least be in the 90%26#39;s that time of year in OK.
