Tulsa hotels

Can any one recomend a hotel near Expo Square in Tulsa? I am planning on attending a horse show there in October. I have looked up reviews for the Emabassy suites as well as other hotels but haven%26#39;t found any thing favorable. I would preffer a hotel with a restaurant/bar or atleast one near by. Thanks.

There is a Microtel right on the grounds at Expo Square, next to the Big Splash park, of course they don%26#39;t have a resturant or bar. There are a few resturants nearby, nothing fancy. About 3 miles to the south at 51st %26amp; Yale area is a Holiday Inn Select which has a resturant and bar on site, then there is a Baymont Inn also at 51st %26amp; Yale, it is within walking distance to Red Lobster and Outback Steakhouse. Quite a few places to eat nearby, not so sure about the bar scene though. If you want a bit more upscale, there is the Doubletree- Warren Place another mile to the south near 61st %26amp; yale. It has two resturants and a lounge on site. Many more places to eat and drink on 71st as you go east towards Memorial and beyond. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much you have been very helpful!

The Ambassador Hotel is downtown--but not awfully far from the Expo (about 4 miles, 8-10 min). It has a nice restaurant/bar (The Chalkboard) on the basement level %26amp; is a pleasant change from the usual chain hotels. Its right off the Broken Arrow Expressway (Hwy 51), so you would just take that East to 21st St. %26amp; drive a couple miles to the Expo. There are good reviews on Trip Advisor for it also. There are a couple of other fun restaurants w/bars downtown as well not far from the hotel. Hope this helps!

Thank you linznok. I am going to check out the Ambassador%26#39;s web site. It sounds great!

linznok,

I looked into the Ambassador and it looks like a lovely hotel. Unfortunatly the price of $209 a night is alittle to high since I will need a room for 11 nights. Thanks

A bit further away from Expo Square is a nice Marriott at 71st and Lewis. Also there is an Adam%26#39;s Mark Hotel downtown and the Doubletree at 61st and Yale is nice too. You might try calling the hotels directly and ask for an extended stay rate. I think there is a Marriott Residence Inn someplace in Tulsa too.

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza in June 2007. Our first choice was the Double Tree but they were booked during that time. I am not sure how close the Crowne Plaza is to Expo Square. We used my husband%26#39;s military discount and it was 66.00 a night. It is a very nice upscale hotel. They do have a restaurant and bar. Also a spa, gift shop, and outside swiming pool.
