Fun for teens in Tulsa? Best malls? waterparks? etc

We will be in Tulsa on business at the convention center. Our 2 teen daughters (13 %26amp; 15) are traveling with us. Any suggestions on fun things for them to do? Also, directions from Convention Center would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

I kept thinking someone from Tulsa would respond, but I guess not.

Bell%26#39;s is the old, family amusement park that%26#39;s been serving Tulsa for half a century. East of downtown, not too far from the convention center. http://www.bellsfamilyfun.com/bells/

The biggest mall is Woodland Hills, on the south side at 71st and Memorial. http://www.simon.com/mall/default.aspx?ID=795 It%26#39;s one of those gigantic malls which, personally, I can live without. Closer to downtown and a lot more managable is the Promenade Mall at 41st and Yale. http://www.tulsapromenade.com/

If you have a car, the Oklahoma Acquarium in Jenks is quite nice. http://www.okaquarium.org/

The convention center has a more complete list of attractions on their web page www.tulsaconvention.com/dt_attractions.asp

Hope that helps!

lived there for two years so I would think the malls and the waterpark are your best bet...here is some info on the waterpark...never went there so can%26#39;t vouch for it

Located at 21st and Yale in midtown, this large water park features the largest wave pool in Oklahoma, as well as five water slides, a water roller coaster, a kiddie pool for the little ones, and more. Open seasonally, this place provides the perfect escape from Tulsa%26#39;s hot summer days. Admission is good for all day, so bring the kids and don%26#39;t forget the sunscreen!

Admission: $17.95 general admission, free for children three and under. Call for group rates and special promotional discounts

In addition to the above, check out the Tulsa Air %26amp; Space Museum, www.tulsaairandspacemuseum.com; it even has a new planetarium.

If they like books, the Tulsa City County Library, central branch, is adjacent to the convention center. Often visited by homeless, but secure.

If you can accompany them %26amp; if they%26#39;re in to working out, the Downtown YMCA has good gym facilities %26amp; a great pool; however, all minors must be accompanied by a parent. Visitor passes are inexpensive.

The IMAX Theater is showing Superman, with 20 min. in 3D. It%26#39;s located at Highway 169, 71st St. South Exit, just to the SouthEast of the intersection. Saw it over the weekend, good movie, great effects; wished for more 3D.

For a high-end open air mall, check out Utica Square, located at 21st %26amp; Utica so not too far from downtown.

Hope you all have fun while in Tulsa!

Thanks for all the info. I checked out the water park on line and I printed a $5 off admission coupon. I%26#39;m sure the girls will enjoy everything.
