apts/housing

Need some help please. My son will be moving away from home for the first time to go to school in Tulsa. Welding School there. Need to know what areas of town to look for apts.. safe and not too pricey.. ALso what areas to steer clear of... Anyone know an area, maybe close to a universtiy, where student housing is readily available?? THanks. DH
