Can any one tell me the name of the Big cat Sanctuary thats about an hour south of Oklahoma city? We were there in october and for the life of me i cant remember the name! I do know that its privatly owned, and i have lokked for it on the internet and cant find it! Its a really neat place to see, they have like 2100 big cats, bears, and some other animals...and the staff were awesome!!!

Are you thinking of GW Exotic Animal in Wynnewood?

Big Cat Sanctuary

Arbuckle Wilderness is also down that way.

Yeah it was the GW Exotic Animal .... Very Interesting place, we really enjoyed ourselves there, and Jeanette who was our guide was so good to my girls , and how often do you get to play with a baby lion cub!

We were actually going to go to arbuckles and we saw the GW Exotic animals, and after being in there for awhile we decided that we would do arbuckles on the way home from Texas, but we ended up in new mexico on the way home..maybe we will see it next year when were passing through again...We dont have things like this where i come from....just a basic zoo!

Thanks for the help guys!

Manitobamom, if you are going back next year to Texas you may consider visiting Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, TX. We are staying there overnight in a couple of weeks. If you like to learn more about exotic animals and see many of them then consider this place. http://www.fossilrim.com/

GW Animal Park was doing a fund raiser here in OKC a few years back and for a fee were taking pictures of people with some of their animals.

I have a photo of me and my daughter with one of their tigers.

:)

I don%26#39;t know if they still do that or not.
