Bike Rentals and Bike Lanes

Hi,

Me and my wife would be vacationing in Oklahoma City over July 27 weekend. We like biking and would like to know bike-renting places and bike trails/bike lane locations.

We would like to bike for couple of hours on either Sat or on Sun.

We are from SoCAL.

Oklahoma City has a growing trails network. I think a few more of these are open than the map shows. http://www.okc.gov/trails/index.html

I am unaware of any bike rental spots, though I cannot say that I%26#39;ve looked. Here%26#39;s a list of local bike shops; if they don%26#39;t rent, they might know who does. www.oklahomabicyclesociety.com/shops.htm

There is also a mountain biking trail with the trailhead in R.R. ';Pat'; Murphy Park on Hefner Road and Meridian Ave.

There are other mountain biking trails in the OKC area as well.

You can rent bikes at the Chesapeake Boathouse on the Oklahoma River Trail. It%26#39;s just south of Bricktown%26#39;s Bass Pro Shop on the other side of the railroad on Byers.
