Bricktown Hotel & Convention Center

Anyone ever stayed here? I%26#39;ve heard people say it%26#39;s a horrible place to stay, but I%26#39;ve also heard it changed owners %26amp; is being remodeled. We really need a place to stay in bricktown that has shuttle service to all the clubs, but doesn%26#39;t cost $200 a night. It also need to be a place where a group of college agw men %26amp; women will be safe.

Anyone have suggestions?

OK, I haven%26#39;t been there in a couple of years, but it is not a great part of town. There are two truck stops close by - one cat-a-corner, the other across Reno. And the property was pretty run down when I was last there - mildew and mold smells. A remodel was long overdue.

However, from the rates I see on their websire, depending on when you are going to be here, I think you can do a lot better right in Bricktown for a ';little'; more money and not have to worry about shuttles.

Check out the rates at the Courtyard by Marriott OKC Downtown/Bricktown. (Just looking at the rate for Oct 26, two nights the cost is $139/night for a King bed room.)

The Residence Inn Downtown Bricktown has rooms with 2 Queen bed for $179/night (4 people per room). It%26#39;s more, but either of those put you about a block from Bricktown and you can walk everywhere.

Also, the hotels at I-40 and Meridian are cheaper than the one you asked about . Also, there is a trolley that runs from the area to downtown OKC.

You can take the trolley into Bricktown and a taxi back to the hotel.

Good luck!
