place to stay

I´m a news reporter for a german tv station and in August and September I will be working for channel 8 in Tulsa. Since I don´t want to spend too much time in a hotel I´m looking for a flat to share; I already checked the internet but the places offered seemed a bit strange to me. Does someone have an advice who I could contact (maybe there is a tourist office or agency that could give me some help finding a place)? I´m 33 years old, married and easy to get along with. Thanks for any answer!

Welcome to Tulsa! (And good luck in the World Cup final today!!)

In planning for what to pack, be prepared for some hot %26amp; humid weather, especially in August. Average daily high temperatures will probably in the 90%26#39;s (F) {make that high 30%26#39;s (C)), with humidity ranging from 50 to 85%.

I would suggest you consider some short term corporate apartments, which you would have just to yourself. There are several suite hotels in Tulsa, which offer long term (monthly) rentals such as Residence Inn. You can try googling ';corporate apartments Tulsa';--I just did and there are several promising-looking leads there.

There%26#39;s also a pretty active German American Society of Tulsa and a very active Global Alliance group, both of which might not only offer some contacts and soclal opportunities but might be able to help you with your housing search.

Willkommen!
