PLEASE HELP. Will Rogers to Stillwater

Warmest greetings from Australia.

My adult daughter and two companions will be needing to get from Will Rogers Airport to Stillwater State Uni in mid August.

Can anyone suggest a reliable means of transport as the return from Stillwater will be connecting to international airlines for the same day trip home and missing flights would be terrible.

Thanking in anticipation

Regards David

PLEASE HELP. Will Rogers to Stillwater

Unfortunately I do not believe there are any regularly scheduled transportation services from Will Rogers to Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Have you contacted the University to see if they can recommend anything?

Barring that, the easiest way is to rent a car at Will Rogers and drop it off in Stillwater - as long as one of them is at least 25 years old.

A taxi or Limo service would be available, but probably too pricey.

How long will they be in Stillwater? Are they students?

PLEASE HELP. Will Rogers to Stillwater

Hi modcon,

Thanks for reply.

They are all phd students visiting a fellow collegue from here based at the uni for a couple of days after a Business Conference in Atlanta..

I did turn up Air Express Shuttle based in Oklahoma City through the net who seem to offer a service @$97 one way which would be ok IF that company is reliable

.

There is no room for mess ups as they are meeting International connections to LA and Brisbane.

Maybe you know that company?

Again sincere thanks for your interest

Regards David

I assume you are referring to Airport Express? (http://www.taxivan.com/pages/1/index.htm)

I used them in March of this year to go from my home to Will Rogers and then to return home after my trip. They were typical for an Airport Shuttle service - basic transportation for a reasonable fee. On pickup at my home they showed at the door a little early - about 10-15 minutes. I see their vans around town often and they show no complaints in the last 36 months with our Better Business Bureau (a US consumer complaint organization.)

I have never used them for city-to-city transfer so I cannot vouch for them from Stillwater/Oklahoma State University to Will Rogers. However, if your daughter arranges for the vehicle to pick them up allowing additional time for the trip I wouldn%26#39;t think there would be any issues - they could always call the company if the driver is late and that additional time would give the company plenty of time to get a vehicle to them for the trip back. (I may be overcautious, but I personally wouldn%26#39;t try to cut it too close.) In any case, I would probably call the service the day before to confirm time and place.

Of course, there is always the possibility their colleague could arrange transport for them back to Will Rogers. It%26#39;s not a long drive from Stillwater - maybe 75 minutes or so. :)

Tell your daughter to dress for hot weather. We have been experiencing intermittent 102-108 F (39-42 C) temps for the past few weeks (close to 18 days over 100F in July.) Even if it gets back to normal it will still be in the 95-100 F (35-38 C) range that time of the year.

Good luck and I hope the arrangements all work out.

Great info...you are very kind.

Your thoughts concur with mine totally. Allow heaps of time for a mess up..

Her collegue only has a tiny car so thats not an option.

The shuttle people sound the best option and I will email them

Hot weather is the go everywhere. We are just back from Rome /Paris and the heat was intense.

Again absolute thanks and best wishes.

Regards David

Don%26#39;t mention it - that%26#39;s why I come to this site, to help where I can!

Good luck and I hope your daughter enjoys her Oklahoma Side trip! (Make sure she has the toll-free 877 number so she can contact them from Stillwater and Atlanta without charge .)
