Tulsa Tex-Mex Restaurant?

I lived in Tulsa over 10 years ago and only travel there a few times a year with a soccer team. I am looking for a excellent Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant that can accomodate a large group say about 40 or so? Any suggestions?

Although it is not really Tex-Mex, but rather authentic Mexican, the food and service is outstanding at Ricardo%26#39;s Mexican Restaurant located at 5629 East 41st St, Tulsa, OK . They also have a downstairs large room that you can use for special occasions, and large groups such as yours. I am not aware of any other Mexican establishment in Tulsa that would accomodate a group of 40 or more. Their phone number is 918 622 2668, so give them a call and see if they can help you.

Either of the Mexicali Border Cafes could handle your group. When I got married some years ago, we had our rehearsal dinner @ the Mexicali downtown; they have different seating areas that have some natural divisions to them The Mexicali location at 71st %26amp; Sheridan has a separate seating area that could also handle your group. Try the bacon wrapped, cheese stuffed shrimp, served with rice, beans, pico %26amp; flour tortillas, and (of course) the margaritas!

Thanks so much to both of you! Going to check them both out tomorrow!

Ricardo%26#39;s on 41st has really great, but pricy frozen margaritas and the best chips in Tulsa. Plenty of room for your group. It is my favorite.

Mexicali Border Cafe, either downtown or at 71st and Sheridan is also a very good choice and can likely handle 40 or so during the week if you make reservations.

Smaller Mexican restaurants worth a look are: Mexico Lindo at 69th and Lewis has spicy and cheap Mexican food and the tacky looking, almost no parking, but pretty good Mexican food Speedy Gonzales Grill at 56th and Mingo. Both are way too small for your 40 or so team.
