Crown Heights Apts?

Are there any good apartment complexes in Crown Heights area or nearby? Can%26#39;t seem to find any online....

Crown Heights Apts?

No, the only ones you%26#39;re going to find in that area are more like old, converted houses and they%26#39;re pretty sketchy -- you won%26#39;t find them online. That older area of town doesn%26#39;t have anything like a new high-rise apt complex that you%26#39;d typically find online, if that%26#39;s what you had in mind. If you%26#39;%26#39;re really set on that area, you%26#39;re better off renting a house -- but not in Crown Heights, unless you%26#39;ve got a lot of money, but in a nearby neighborhood, like Edgemere Park (my husband and I rented a nice house there a couple of years ago). Your best bet is, if you%26#39;re in town, just drive around and look for ';for rent'; signs. Don%26#39;t rent anything without seeing it, because that part of OKC is spotty -- one block can be very cute and well kept, and the block next to it can be full of drug houses. If you really want an ';apartment complex,'; you%26#39;re going to have to go more into the suburbs, or downtown, where there are some very nice, but expensive, complexes (e.g., Deep Deuce).

Unfortunately, pretty much ALL of OKC is spotty. I rented a house off of 48th and Independence, which wasn%26#39;t too bad, but there is NO WAY I would have lived any farther north, and definitely not north of 44th off of Independence. It was CRAZY up there past Roosevelt Middle School. Just pick up one of the free housing/apartment booklets at 7-11 and look around the area. If it%26#39;s fenced, there%26#39;s usually a good reason it%26#39;s fenced.

If you are working on or close to NW Expressway, I would suggest looking directly north or south of the intersection you work at. It%26#39;s far better to drive north or south than down NW Expressway during rush hour.
