Tulsa in January....

We will be visiting Tulsa (Broken Arrow) the first weekend in January for a friends wedding. Having never been to Tulsa before is there going to be much to do in the middle of winter? We will traveling with a 3 yr old.

Tulsa in January....

The weather in Tulsa in the winter can vary wildly. It might be sunny and 65 or there might be 6 inches of snow and ice and a wind chill of 5. Be sure to check right before you leave.

If its a nice day, consider the Tulsa Zoo. It is very nice and has a lot of buildings and indoor exhibits that make it doable on even a less than perfect day. It is in North Tulsa near the Airport.

Another great choice, and completely indoors, is the Oklahoma Aquarium. It is on the west back of the Arkansas River in the suburb of Jenks.

You might also try a trip to Tulsa%26#39;s Incredible Pizza Company on 71st Street east of Memorial. It is a HUGE pizza place with several 1950%26#39;s themed dining areas and an indoor amusement park. They have bowling alleys, a miniature golf course, bumper cars, go-carts, and 100%26#39;s of video games.

You can always visit Bass Pro shop if it does turn out to be cold. It is in Broken Arrow right off the Broken Arrow Expressway. You can spend a lot of time in there looking at everything they have. If it%26#39;s half way warm and sunny I also suggest the zoo. Then there are the museums downtown and the aquarium along the river as mentioned.
