good hiking, warmer than snowy Omaha?

hi,

i am looking at some cabins around broken bow for a trip with my husband and two dogs next week. Can anyone tell me if that area has some good hiking and exploring, outdoor stuff? we are looking for someplace warmer than Omaha where it is cold and snowy right now. looks like the highs there are in the 60%26#39;s. any other areas or suggestions woul be great! we are open to anything!

Beaver%26#39;s Bend State Park, near Broken Bow, has several trails, the longest of which is the 16 mile David Boren. Some general information is here: http://www.travelok.com/trails/hiking.asp

You%26#39;ll also find a number of trails north of BB in the Ouachita National Forest. The longest stretches from Talihina, OK, to Mena, AR, but several other options exist as well in that area.

Weather has been around 70 all this week, but is supposed to be a few degrees cooler (60s) next though still warmer than Omaha. We%26#39;re starting to see some signs of spring; the daffodils in the front yard are just about to bloom.
