2 Questions: Pick For Different Restaurant, & Bread Pudding!

Ok, so I%26#39;ve spent some time in OKC, my best friend lives there and I visit.

I%26#39;m going this coming week/weekend and have plans to take her and her sister to dinner one night. Both of them are chain eaters and stick to the cheap stuff.

I want to go somewhere a little upscale, a little different, fun, with a variety of food.

They%26#39;ve taken me to Pearl%26#39;s, which is an option, but I kind of want somewhere none of us has been.

Reading from other posts, Cafe Nova peaks my interest quite a bit, but maybe something with a more varied menu???

Any suggestions???

And my other question, I%26#39;m somewhat of a bread pudding-holic, or conossiuer. Who has the best bread pudding in OKC???

Thanks!!!

You are a terrific friend for doing this, I have to say. Get them out of those formica-laden, grease-filled holes! For variety, how about the Cheesecake Factory? Just kidding.

What I have in mind have already been suggested here:

I%26#39;d have to single out Flip%26#39;s for a fun scene, Cafe do Brasil on NW 11th for something different (with Bossa Nova jazz Saturday nights), and Deep Fork for variety.

And I%26#39;m not a bread pudding person, but I%26#39;ve read the Bourbon Street Cafe%26#39;s rendition in Bricktown is pretty good. Anybody else have suggestions?

When it comes to bread pudding, Borubon Street is about the only place I remember even seeing it on the menu. I%26#39;m sure there are others, but not any I know.

As for places to eat - well, that link provided spells out a lot of places - including my own favorite. Just avoid the chains mentioned.

:)

While at the Saturn Grill yesterday, I noticed they offer chocolate chip bread pudding.

I%26#39;ve never eaten their desserts (just cookies!), but everything I%26#39;ve had there is really good.
