Touring with Kids

We are flying in to Kansas City on Saturday, March 31 and driving part way toward Hulbert, Oklahoma. Could someone please advise if the following itinerary sounds reasonable. The purpose of our trip is to visit family but we want to share some of the local attractions with our children ages 8 and 11.

Saturday - drive to Joplin, MO for the night

Sunday - drive rest of way to Hulbert, OK where cousins live; take cousins and visit The Incredible Pizza Company in Tulsa

Monday - drive 30 minutes to Tahlequah to the Cherokee Heritage Center

Tuesday - ?

Wednesday - drive to Oklahoma City and visit National Cowboy Museum; find hotel for night

Thursday - visit Aquarium and later in day drive to Wichita for other cousins

Friday-Tuesday in Wichita then fly home on Tuesday, April 10.

Thank you!

We used tripadvisor for last year%26#39;s spring break in Arizona and the advice was so helpful!

Touring with Kids

Just wanted to suggest that you should spend the evening in OKC at the relatively new Bricktown area (it is modeled on San Antonio%26#39;s Riverwalk). There are some bars, but It is very clean and completely safe for kids, with plenty of dining options and boat rides on the canals. It%26#39;s kind of touristy, but nice to walk around and should be fun for the kids.

Also, if you mean the Oklahoma Aquarium in Jenks/Tulsa, it is right next door to Tulsa%26#39;s version of the Riverwalk, another nice place to walk around and have lunch. There is an arcade, ';trapeze university'; and brand new movie theater for the kids.
